“Coltart Earley Architecture were appointed by North Lanarkshire Council to submit a Planning Application for the demolition of flats at 1 – 204 Millcroft Road, Carbrain, Cumbernauld and the proposed construction of 72 new-build flatted units to Passivhaus Standard.”

We were asked to produce four visuals for this proposal to support the planning application.

”The new housing development aims to create a new sense of place within Millcroft Road and Cumbernauld. This will be achieved by decreasing the density and reducing the urban wall of the existing blocks to enhance the openness and vistas between the new blocks. Moving from 169 existing flats to 72 new lats allows the creation of clearly defined spaces, external amenity spaces and car parking.”
